How To Pay For Excheap Orders By Bank Transfer
In these notes “bank transfer” means the same as ‘wire transfer’ or ‘telegraphic transfer’ (T/T). You are instructing your bank to send money to Excheap ‘s account electronically.
STEP 1 – Create an order
In order to make a bank transfer payment for an order, you need to use the online shop system at Excheap.com to place an order.
If you have not already done so, you need to register a Excheap wholesale buying account to be able to login and place orders.
Completing the checkout sequence will save your order (cart contents including shipping fee) and generate an invoice ID / “order number”. (A Excheap order number is a 5-digit number and if you don’t know your number please login to your Excheap account and then go to My Account to view a summary of past orders.)
You need to quote your order number when you make your bank transfer and when you make enquiries about the status of your order.
STEP 2 – Instruct your bank to make the transfer
When you go to your bank you need to give them the following information:
- The correct total amount to pay.
Please print your order summary to take to the bank so you can submit the correct amount including shipping.
You can submit payment in any currency.Banks often charge fees for international transfers. You are responsible for your bank’s fees. It is important that you ask your bank exactly how much they will charge you for the transfer, and add this amount to the remitted total. If you do not add it, the fee will be deducted from the transferred money, and you won’t have paid enough for your order.
- Add Order Comments:
– your order number,
– your name / email address,
– your company name,
– your delivery address,
– and any instructions relating to the ordered items such as colours chosen and customs declaration instructions. It will help the bank if you give them the order comments in printed form when you go there to do the transfer.
Please note if you send us money with no order number it may be impossible for us to process your order immediately because we will be unable to match your payment to your order. You must quote your order number with your bank transfer.
Please send the payment in the same currency as your order in Excheap.com – If you are paying in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD) please fax us your transfer confirmation as HSBC does not always notify us of incoming HKD payments.
STEP 3 – After submitting payment
If you have already made a bank payment to our HSBC account as described above, please allow some time for this payment to go through:
- 2-4 working days for the banks to complete the transaction, depending on the banks;
- 1 working day for Excheap to process your payment and match it to an order.
You will receive an email from Excheap to confirm that we have begun processing your order for delivery.
If you are sure you have successfully transferred payment, and haven’t received the “processing” notification in five working days, please email or fax us with your order number and full details of your bank transfer we will check up on the order status.
Once your order is in processing, please allow 3-5 days for processing and dispatch depending on items ordered and quantity. If you need to check on your order please open an “My account ” on www.Excheap.com.
Taxes On Imported Goods – please read before ordering
Do I have to pay taxes?
How much will the import tax be?
What about customs duties?
Do you deliver duty paid?
We don’t add taxes, VAT, or other hidden charges. You pay us what you see on the order screen, i.e. goods subtotal + shipping cost.
HOWEVER – In most countries in the world you have to pay taxes on imported goods. That’s life.
Sometimes goods under a certain value, or in certain categories, do not incur taxes.
The rules are different in every country.
In any one country the rules are often applied differently in different places, and sometimes rather randomly.
Excheap is based in China. We are a Chinese company. Therefore anything you buy from us is going to be imported as far as your customs are concerned.
Unfortunately there is no way for us to know the rules, regulations, customs, traditions, practices, loopholes, schemes, systems, paperwork, codes, laws, or rulings of any country.
As such we cannot, and will not, offer advice about taxes in your country.
As the buyer, it is your responsibility to find out that information before you order.
If you have to pay import taxes and/or additional duties and sales taxes (e.g. VAT in the UK) then you would have to pay that to the courier upon receipt of the package(s) from China. Unfortunately we can’t calculate this for you and there is no way to pre pay it. If you are drop-shipping or sending a gift item to someone please make sure they are aware of the possibility of having to pay taxes when receiving the goods.
If you order goods from us and feel that you’ve been unexpectedly ‘stung’ with taxes at your end, please don’t blame us.
Please find out as much as you can about your import taxes in your own country before completing your order.
If you find out information about the import tax situation in your country, and you believe there are ways for you to minimize the taxes you have to pay (or eliminate the taxes altogether), WE ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO FOLLOW YOUR INSTRUCTIONS regarding labelling, packing, declarations, invoices, etc. Just tell us what you need and we will let you know what we can do to help.
If you don’t tell us anything we will just state on the shipping waybill the “China Nominal Retail Value” and the goods will be declared as Samples. In many countries this still means you’re going to have to pay tax to the courier when you sign for the goods.
That is why our overall statement about tax is always as follows:
Regarding import taxes on products delivered from China, please consult your local tax office. Excheap cannot offer tax advice and accepts no responsibility for tax costs incurred to customers importing our goods from China. If you see statements online by third parties about Excheap products and tax issues, please note these are not endorsed by this company.
If you have feedback or useful information regarding import regulations and taxes in your country, please open a “feedack” support ticket. It will help other Excheap members, and with the information we publish in the Excheap FAQ you will also get a chance to learn more from other business people in your locality.
If you have special instructions for your orders, please always add them to the comments field in the online checkout process. This will ensure that your instructions are followed by our packing/ shipping team. (If we can’t follow your instructions, e.g. because you request a declared value that is unfeasibly low, we will contact you before processing your order.)
Many Excheap customers asked us what drop-shipping is and how they can start.
Well, that is kind of a big question, but we thought we could try to compress the concept into a few bullet points just to get your thinking started in the right direction!
Step 1: Sign up free for a Excheap wholesale buyer account
Step 2: Research good products by comparing Excheap ‘s products and prices with those available in your local market.
Step 3: To begin with choose ONE good product with good selling potential and order a sample of the product FOR YOURSELF to check the details for yourself and to create your own unique product description and product pictures.
Step 4: List the item on ebay / mercadolivre etc, or your online shop, or your newsletter, or in your local classifieds etc. Make sure your description is accurate and your customers have a realistic expectation of delivery times and possible import taxes they may have to pay on delivery.
Step 5: Once the item is bought, buy the item from us using the online shop and enter your customer’s address for the delivery. For dropship orders we won’t include our company details in the package. You need to provide your customer’s phone number in the order comments for the courier delivery.
Step 6: Once we give you the tracking details, pass on this information to your customer.
Step 7: After the goods arrive, provide any necessary customer support to your customers.
Step 8: Rinse and repeat!
Good luck everyone!
